Juan Gabriel is a famed Mexican singer-composer whose album Recuerdos II became Mexico’s best-selling album of all time. Throughout his career, he released over 40 albums and wrote over 1,800 songs. He is best known for classic singles such as “As Fue,” “Hasta Que Te Conocen,” “Querida,” and “Amor Eterno,” among others.

He was the youngest of ten siblings, and his real name was Alberto Aguilera Valadez. He and Laura Salas had a biological son, Iván Gabriel, and they adopted four more sons, Alberto Aguilera Jr., Joan Gabriel, Hans Gabriel, and Jean Gabriel. Following his death, it was discovered that he had two other biological children, Joao Gabriel and Luis Alberto, with two other women.
