He released a two-part documentary called Bill Bailey’s Jungle Hero in 2013. He competed in the 18th series of the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing and won, becoming the show’s oldest champion at 55.
His father worked as a doctor, while his mother worked in a hospital ward.
In 1998, he married Kristin Bailey, and the pair had a son, Dax, in 2003.
